Position is responsible for the support and administration of the CSG Pediatric Surgery and Urology specialty practice units (SPU), the Clinical Outcomes Registries and Research Programs and the CHW Surgery and Urology ambulatory clinic operations. Manage finances, personnel and provider resources to ensure that goals are met in a timely and effective manner. Responsible for day to day administration and operations of the surgery and urology divisionâs clinical, educational and research programs in collaboration with the SPU Leaders, principal investigators as well as the CHW clinic operations of the surgery and urology areas, including coordination of all offsite and regional clinics. Represent the pediatric divisions and clinics in administrative issues. Participate in strategic planning and formulates tactical plans for the practice unit and assist with recruitment to achieve goals. Responsible for maintaining an environment conducive to peak performance in all areas of operation. Work closely with leadership, key staff and other teams to ensure collaboration and alignment of CHHS and CSG goals with Surgery and Urology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage annual capital and operating budget development with review by the CSG, Division, Department and MC. Prepare and manage the CHW clinic capital and operations budget. Anticipates and explains variances and creates corrective action plan.
- Monitor and approve expense allocations for the Pediatric Surgery and Urology Divisions as well as the CHW clinic areas.
- Ensure compliance with CSG, MCW and CHW policies and procedures related to financial management.
- Develop and reviews program statistics, utilizing results to improve performance.
- Facilitate work force planning, supervise appropriate staff and orient new employees in clinical and research areas. Ensures that performance evaluations are conducted annually for all staff. Takes corrective action in accordance with policies and procedures of MCW and CHW.
- Maintain compliance with employee procedures and guidelines.
- Manage visa process for employees and serves as the main contact for all Divisional Human Resources matters
- Ensures a culture of communication and teamwork.
- Utilizes annual survey results to drive improvement in engagement of faculty and staff.
- Assists the Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology SPU Leaders in development of strategic plans with CSG and CHW and participates in other linked areas of planning as needed.
- Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of strategic, business and marketing plans for all areas of responsibility.
- Participates in the pursuit and establishment of partnerships and strategic alliances ensuring alignment with CSG and CHW leadership on regional strategic tactics.
- Maintain legal compliance with corporate structure.
- Maintain compliance with government contractual mandates.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of tactical plans to achieve goals in collaboration with CSG and CHHS for financial, service, quality and people balanced scorecard annual targets.
- Coordinate the organizational change process for practice improvement and for workforce and clinical effectiveness and efficiency.
- Facilitate business operational planning.
- Develop and implement process improvement programs for clinical and research operations.
- Ensure improvement and focus on service excellence for referring providers and patients and families.
- Advance professional knowledge and leadership skills.
- Engage in professional networking.
- Advance the profession by contributing to the body of knowledge.
- Demonstrates the leadership behaviors defined by CHW and MCW to provide service excellence to patients and families and support a culture of teamwork.
- Actively participate in CSG activities including the execution of guidelines and policies outlined by the CSG board and committees.
- Meets quality, service and external regulatory metrics and requirements for clinical performance of areas of responsibility.
- Ensures coordination and optimization of services across service lines including medical, nursing, ancillary and administrative teams.

Qualifications
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
Education:
Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Management or Healthcare Administration required.
Masterâs degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Experience:
5 years of progressively responsible management experience in health care/physician practice management/or physician or academic medical care that includes budget and personnel management.
