We have a UNIQUE opportunity for aDirector ofourMedical Transportation Services unit.This position may be located at ANY Ministry location, due to the fact that they will travel frequently between the sites. Our Emergency Medical teams at Ministry Health Care provide comprehensive, regionally integrated ground and air transportation for adult, pediatric, neonatal, and high-risk obstetrical critical care patients from referral institutions and scenes of injury. Emergency Medical Services teams provide critical care to those who need them most.
Key members of our team include Paramedics, Registered Nurses, EMTs, Emergency Vehicle Operators, and Communication Specialists. Unique to Ministry is our 911-based hospital system that includes four hospitals in northern Wisconsin. Benefits of this regionalized approach include standardized EMS protocols, policies and procedures. Our team works in collaboration with the Emergency Department team at these hospitals, also providing 911 response to the surrounding areas as well as interfacility ground transports.
Ministry Spirit is CUTTING EDGE when it comes to ouraircraft we operate an EC145and an AS350!!!! Our facilitiesare nestled between central and northern Wisconsin where we put the PATIENTS FIRST in everything we do!!!! Our Director will be responsible for: Operation results and growth in medical transport services, both air and ground, for Ministry MTS. These responsibilities include management oversight, budget accountability, domain expert for MTS supply contracting, compliance with accreditation and government regulations, community and media relations, marketing, provides leadership for strategic business initiatives and financial, quality and market analysis, implementation of strategies which contributes to the growth of the Ministry Health Care system in the area of medical transportation and referral strategies, and working with the MTS Medical Director, MTS Steering Committee and MTS Clinical Advisory Board.
The Director also acts as a role model in carrying out Ministry's Mission and Values. This individual works closely with Ministry's senior leadership and physicians by developing, implementing and managing the strategic business plans for the Medical Transportation Service. This individual has accountability for departmental personnel, operations, growth initiatives, strategic planning, customer service, clinical care, financial management, quality, risk management and market analysis projects. Qualifications Qualified candidates will have a Masters Degree in Health or Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or a related field with commensurate experience is preferred; or a Baccalaureate Degree in Health or Hospital Administration, Business Administration with commensurate experience.
We are seeking someone with a minimum of7 years of significant leadership, management, or operations experience in a health care setting, with a preferred focus on medical transport operations. You must have a solid understanding of the healthcare environment and operations. Experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care, EMS and/or Flight operations is preferred.
