The Pharmacy Technician - Associate is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including, but not limited to preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, providing customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. The Pharmacy Technician - Associate works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team, and under direction of the Clinical Pharmacist, Senior Clinical Pharmacist, and/or Pharmacy Technical Supervisor.

The Pharmacy Technician - Associate is an entry-level position and duties are designed to develop knowledge base and competency level while performing technical pharmacy functions in the Ambulatory Pharmacy, Decentral Pharmacy, Central Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Research Center.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. One year diploma from accredited school of Pharmacy Technology preferred. 3. Previous experience in customer service 4. Pharmacy Technician certification preferred. 5. Attention to detail 6. Customer service skills 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 9. Time and task management, prioritizing, and organizational skill 10. Ability to prioritize and problem solve 11. Ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses. 12. Ability to type 13. Previous experience with computers, preferably using Microsoft Office and other Windows based system. Ability to use computer for order entry, inventory control, billing, and record keeping. 14. Physical Requirements: Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Multiple Posting Levels

This position is being posted at multiple levels. Selection would be based on seniority as follows: the candidate with the highest seniority across all levels will be selected unless the candidate at the higher level has special skills and abilities required for the position.

Pay

This is a Represented position and falls into Pay Grade F. The salary range begins at $13.16 per hour. Education, experience, tenure and internal equity may be taken into consideration when job offers are extended.

Work Schedule

Must be available to work from 5am-1:30pm, 6am-2:30pm, 6:15am-2:45pm, 6:30am-3pm, 7am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4pm, 8am-4:30pm, 2:15-10:45pm, 2:30-11pm, Nights 10:30pm-7am M-F weekends and holidays.
