Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, manages the professional and technical personnel in the day-to-day operations of two pharmacy departments. Responsibilities include staffing, inpatient and outpatient dispensing, controlled substance management and all associated functions.
Assists department leadership in understanding customer requirements and developing goals to achieve a high and consistent level of service in compliance with hospital, state, federal and the Joint Commission policies and regulations.
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and three to five years of clinical experience and one to three years of management experience OR requires the completion of a Pharm D with one to three of clinical experience and one to three years of management experience.
Licensure required as a Pharmacist by the ! Commonwealth of Wisconsin
Work requires the ability to cou! nsel and educate patients and their families; communicate effectively with pharmacy staff, physicians and other health care professionals, and delegate effectively. Work requires competency in providing direct patient care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, young adult, adult and geriatric patients.
