Provides quality cardiovascular diagnostic services to neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, and to interpret patient information and unders! tand treatment needs depending on the age of patients under care. Whenever applicable, demonstrates understanding of the needs of specific age groups in terms of their physical and motor development, psychosocial development and intellectual/language development.
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through two years of formal education (4 semesters with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) post high school, with courses in anatomy/physiology, physics and algebra. An Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in an allied health field. This position requires 24 months of full time* clinical vascular imaging and/or 24 months of Echocardiography training/experience in a recognized allied health occupation that is patient care related, e.g., ECG, EEG, LPN, non-invasive testing, etc., plus 24 months full time* clinical ultrasound experience, totaling 48 months. All 48 months may be in ultrasound with completion of at least 200 cases of non-! imaging vascular studies and 100 cases of imaging vascular stu! dies (carotids and venous), and/or 200 Echos and 100 stress Echos.

• Full time is defined as 35 hours per week, at least 48 weeks per year. Full time consists of didactic and clinical experience of which a majority should be clinical experience. If working part time, the requirements are prorated over a period of time equal to full time.

Knowledge of routine cardiovascular pharmacological agents. ECG interpretive skills (identification and differentiation of arrhythmia). Ability to take call on rotating schedule with other qualified techs. Ability to work a variety of hours on short notice. Ability to do outreach. Recommended technical knowledge of stresses, PV Lab, ECG and/or Echocardiography beneficial. CCI/ARDMS registry eligible and CPR certification required. Past management or supervisory skills are welcomed. Possesses and maintains a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
