Description: Marshfield Clinic is hiring Pediatrics - Infectious Disease right now, this position will be delegated in Wisconsin. The Department of Pediatrics at Marshfield Clinic and Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation (MCRF) in Marshfield, Wisconsin are jointly seeking a fellowship-trained pediatric ! infectious disease specialist with interest in both clinical work and epidemiology research. This will be a 50% clinical and 50% research position. Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations and teaching of pediatric and medicine/pediatric residents. Backup call coverage will be available. The Department of Pediatrics includes multiple subspecialties as well as primary care. Inpatient care is provided at the adjoining Children’s Hospital which includes a PICU and a level III NICU.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate as a collaborator or co-investigator on externally funded research projects within the Epidemiology Research Center at MCRF. Current research areas include vaccine effectiveness, vaccine safety, and the epidemiology of respiratory virus infections. Qualifications for the research appointment will include a postgraduate degree with a focus on epidemiology, vaccinology, or health services rese! arch (PhD, MPH, MS or equivalent), or equivalent training (e.g! . CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service).

Pediatric hospitalist support. Education of residents and medical school students is an expectation.
