This position is primarily for Physical Therapy - Pediatrics dept. The hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday. Rotating weekend! (about every 6th weekend) from 6:30am - 3:00pm and 1 holiday per year.
The Scheduling Specialist provides superior customer service to both internal and external customers when scheduling patient appointments. The Scheduling Specialist plays an important role in managing provider and department schedules, and facilitating access to the services patients need while ensuring efficient operation of the department.
Education/Learning Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalency.
- Required: 1 â€" 3 years experience in an office setting requiring customer service responsibilities.
- Desired: Health care experience.
- Required: Successful completion of defined core competency testing. Telephone and computer competency in Microsoft Windows. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with computer and software applicati! ons. Problem solving skills. Flexibility and ability to work i! ndependently with minimal supervision. Thrives on change.
- Desired: Knowledge of medical terminology. McKesson, Epic and patient scheduling products. Insurance background. Registration scheduling experience.
