The UWHC Stock Clerk is responsible for receiving and stocking al! l food, paper, and supplies; takes daily and monthly inventory of products; fills out daily requisitions and purchase orders to keep stock at an established level in compliance with set maximum/minimum levels from production sheets. A variety of internal and external contact relationships are involved in performance of the duties of this position; interacts with employees of the department when filling out daily requisitions and interacts with various vendors when receiving product. Organizational skill is important to properly analyze the hospital¿s inventory and maintain the proper levels to run smoothly. Position includes sustained standing, walking, stooping, twisting, bending, carrying/lifting, and pushing carts. This position operates under general supervision.
Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Previous work experience preferred.
3. Mathematical skills necessary to take inventory and project usage.
4. Abil! ity to communicate in writing as well as verbally any inconsis! tencies between deliveries and purchase orders.
5. Ability to work in a team environment with internal as well as external contacts.
6. Physically able to work in freezer and cooler environments.
7. Physical Requirements: Heavy - Ability to lift up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm with occasional weekend or holiday rotations.
