Marshfield Clinic- Eau Claire Center is seeking a BC/BE neurosurgeon to join as the 6th member of the Department of Neurosurgery.

Referral base with 140 Primary Care Marshfield clinic physicians in the western Wisconsin region, ranging from Arcadia to Hayward, Baldwin to Cadott.

Marshfield Clinic Western District features a Referral Center that provides a single point of contact for referring sources, allowing clinicians to readily access the services of our specialists. Patients will be "packaged" by the Referral Center staff according to the Marshfield Clinic physician specialists’ preferences prior to consultation.

The West District neuroscience program has a long history of excellence in patients and referring physician relationships.

West District Marshfield Clinic neurosurgery is responsible for approximately 58% of total hospital neurosurgery market in western Wisconsin

This practice opportunity will be seeing approximately 80% spine cases and 20 % cranial cases.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to practice with a full array of neuroscience providers in the west district including five neurologists specializing in neuromuscular, neurophysiology, sleep medicine and neuro-ophthalmology. A Board Certified neuropsychologist is also on staff.

The District Spine Center approach to care includes spine assessment, spine physical therapy, and interventional pain medicine in addition to neurosurgical operative spine. This process allows for approximately 80% surgical procedures after the neurosurgery evaluation.

Also provided are comprehensive chronic pain services including clinical psychology, physical therapy, and medication management support.

Critical Care/ Intensivists Marshfield Clinic colleagues are available to assist with care of critical care neurosurgical patients

Outpatient operative sites many include the Marshfield Clinic Ambulatory Surgery Center in Eau Claire and Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, Wisconsin

About Sacred Heart Hospital â€" Eau Claire

Sacred Heart Hospital, an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, is a 344-licensed bed acute care hospital that also provides Emergency Medical and Trauma Center and Regional Cancer Center services. The hospital provides residents of western Wisconsin the latest in medical care in a wide range of specialties including neurosurgery, cardiovascular services, women’s health, cancer, trauma and critical care. Primary health services include surgical intensive, obstetric with level two nursery, behavioral health, medical, oncology, pediatric, neurology, orthopedic, surgical and inpatient physical rehabilitation. The emergency department is designated a level three trauma center and has an adjacent helicopter pad for emergency transport.
