Ministry Medical Group in Rhinelander has a long history of providing medical care in conjunction with St. M! ary's Hospital. Our combined state-of-the-art facility offers a new standard of health care to residents of Rhinelander and surrounding communities. Our medical campus provides an array of advanced technology and services including shared ancillary services, specialized support such as diabetic care and pain management, digital imaging capabilities, expanded orthopedic services and walk-in clinic.
As part of our highly trained staff, you will provide general clinical, clerical and technical support, keeping patient care, comfort and safety as a primary concern. The position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with policies and the strict observance of confidentiality of patient information. The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for helping to provide high-quality patient care by working under direct supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
These are full time positions with either 36
or 40 hours per week.
S! hifts may be scheduled Monday through Friday 7:00 am â€" 7:00 pm
Saturday morning rotation from 8:00 to noon may be required
POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Facilitate efficient patient flow by assisting patient into exam room and preparing patient for examination.
Perform basic nursing care duties under the direction of RN/provider including vital signs and give injections and immunizations after required training. Assure that corresponding documentation is completed.
Maintain/review patient records, charts and other pertinent information.
Obtain tests and examination results.
Prepare patient and equipment and assist providers during treatments, examinations, and minor surgical procedures.
Help with scheduling of tests and/or treatment as ordered by provider.
Notify patients of test results, basic nursing and medical advice as directed or written by the RN or provider in a timely manner.
Review patient chart to ensure all pertinent data is a! vailable to the provider prior to the visit.
Prepare, stock and clean exam room.
Clean other areas of the department as required by OSHA guidelines.
Maintain supplies and equipment for treatment.
Qualifications
Requirements for this position:
You must have graduated from an accredited school in the Medical Assistant program.
Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant is required, preferably through one of the following:
1. American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
2. American Medical Technologists (RMA
At least two years of experience as a medical assistant is preferred.
This is a full time position, with 36 hours scheduled per week. Shifts are Monday through Friday, and may be scheduled between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
