The Truxtun Campus, located at 2215 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93301 was founded in 1910 by the Sisters of Mercy. This acute care hospital in the downtown area and is licensed for 194 beds. The Truxtun Campus offers a full range of services including medical/ surgical care, emergency services, intensive care, peri-operative and ambulatory services. This facility employs over 1,000 people.The Southwest Campus located at 400 Old River Road, Bakersfield, CA 93311 was built in 1992 and is the only acute care hospital in Bakersfield west of the 99 Freeway. This 78-bed hospital also offers a full range of services including emergency services, obstetrics and women's care, medical/surgical care, and orthopedic services. In 2009, the Orthopedic and Hand Center opened offering comprehensive orthopedic services to the community. This facility employs over 400 people. Identifies problems areas and establishes/develops the Process Improvement monitors for the Food and Nutrition Department. Conducts the audits/studies on a ongoing basis and files written reports with the Director of Quality/Performance Improvement and/or Appropriate Committees. Maintains effective communication between Manager of Food and Nutrition Department and serves as liaison between the Department and Nursing Units and Medical Staff. Helps the Manager fulfill objectives of the Department of Standards set forth int JACHO, Title 22, OBRA, HIPPA and American Dietetic Association. Responsible for the Evaluations of the Clinical Dietitians, Diet Tech, and non-duel Nutritional Assistants. Provide guidance to Food and Nutrition Services Director. At least 3 years in a Hospital Food Service with sound background and knowledge in clinical nutrition. Pediatric, neonatal experienced Master's degree with minimum of two years of clinical experience or Bachelor's degree with minimum of five years clinical experience. CA Registered Dietitian Ability to read, write, and speak simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English language. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers, patients, and customers. Know basic function of a computer and able to operate one. Mathematical calculations, write in a clear legible manor, must be able to operate the telephone using courteous technique. Be able to work within a specified time frame.
