This is a full-time position to oversee operations in our Communication Center located at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Ministry Spirit Medical Transportation's mission is to provide comprehensive, regionally integrated ground and air transportation for adult, pediatric, neonatal, and high-risk obstetrical critical care patients from referral institutions and scenes of injury. Ministry Spirit Medical Transportation Services is not a "911" service, but is designed to support, supplement, and assist local and regional ambulances and other emergency services, which play the initial key role in any emergency medical transport.
Ministry Spirit Medical Transportation can be accessed by the appropriate medical professionals 24 hours a day through the Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital Communication Center. Staffed by commun! ications specialists trained as emergency medical technicians,! the staff receives request information and rapidly dispatches the appropriate mode of transportation.
The Communication Center/ Physician Outreach Manager is responsible for all operational aspects of the MinistryConnect and Spirit Dispatch Communications Center, to include staffing coordination, payroll approvals, supervision, evaluation and development of Communication Specialists.
This position also facilitates the billing process by coordinating with Patient Financial Services and Medical Records.
Additionally, this position is responsible for rotating coverage of Administrator On-Call responsibilities for the Spirit operation.
The Communications Center/Physician Outreach Manager is also responsible for assessing physician satisfaction with existing services and developing relationship with referring physicians to increase volume and utilization.
This professional will work closely with various teams and individuals througho! ut Ministry including its Hospitals, Ministry Medical Group and other physician practices as well as with marketing and business development staff in the execution of these responsibilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field is required.
Completion of RN or Emergency Medical Technician education program is also required.
EMT-Basic or RN Licensure required.
Dispatch or telecommunications training is preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in a health care field or emergency medical services is required.
Three years of dispatch/telecommunications experience is preferred.
Prior management/leadership experience is also preferred.
